Motul ACU British Motocross Championship | Round 1 - Hawkstone Park

The 2026 ACU British Motocross Championship kicks off at the historic Hawkstone Park circuit, one of the most iconic motocross tracks on the planet. Renowned for its challenging terrain and the legendary Hawkstone Hill, Hawkstone Park remains one of the most demanding circuits in the world; to win here, competitors truly earn their stripes.

Since 1946, this legendary circuit has hosted top-flight races, including numerous Grand Prix events, making it a fitting venue to launch this year’s championship.

The MX125 class will feature a host of promising young talents, showcasing the future of motocross in the UK including Joel Winstanley-Dawson, Harley Marczak, Arthur Moore, Archie Butterfield, Leo Wilson, Olly Waters and Archie Stapley, all of whom have seen success in the youth ranks. In joining the adult series in 2026 they face the raft of last season’s vice champ Hayden Statt and Drew Stock who will be keen to show them how it’s done when the gate drops.

In the MX2 class, Tommy Searle returns for another season after winning the 2025 championship. Lining up in 2026 you also have Calum Mitchell, Joe Brookes, Billy Askew, Ollie Colmer and Gyan Doensen who all saw podium pie in 2025. Chomping at the bit and debuting in MX2 this season you have last year’s MX125 champion Charlie Richard who is not the only newcomer to the class, as also making the voyage is Jamie Keith, Harry Lee, Zane Stephens to name but a few who will also be competing for the U21 title
in 2026.

2025 champion Conrad Mewse is returning to defend his MX1 title; however, he looks to have more competition this season as he’s joined by MXGP contenders Ben Watson, Adam Sterry and Josh Gilbert. Making a move to the MX1 class form MX2 is the Spaniard Oriel Oliver and Home talent Bobby Bruce. With a mix of seasoned experience and fresh blood, the MX1 class is sure to deliver thrilling action.
