Motul ACU British Motocross Championship | Round 3 - Lyng

Few circuits in the UK carry the history and reputation that Cadders Hill – Lyng.

Recognised for decades as one of the finest tracks in the country, it continues to challenge even the very best pro riders, and in 2026 it plays host to Round 3 of the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship.

This year makes the occasion even more special. The circuit celebrates its 90th anniversary, while the Norwich Viking Club marks an incredible 100 years of motorsport history. With the British Championship having been held at this iconic venue annually for 50 years, this promises to be a truly memorable weekend for everyone involved.

RFX MX125

Currently leading the way in the RFX MX125 with top marks is Drew Stock. Class rookies Harley Marczak, Joel Winstanley Dawson, and Ollie Waters are making their mark while 2025 vice champion Hayden Statt wraps up the top five heading into Lyng.

MX2 INC JMR U21

Charlie Heyman carries the red plate in both the MX2 and JMR U21 championship after round two and holds a six-point advantage over Gyan Doensen, who took victory at Round 1 back in March. Lyng holds special memories for seasoned pro Tommy Searle after he clinched the MX2 title here in 2025 and is very much in the 2026 title fight after claiming the second race win at Preston Docks back in April.

APICO MX1

It couldn’t be tighter at the top in the Apico MX1 class. Ben Watson and Oriol Oliver have been a near-perfect mirror image of each other across the opening two rounds, a race win, a second, a third and a fourth a piece. It’s Ben Watson who holds the red plate by virtue of his results, but 2025 champion Conrad Mewse is breathing down their necks, just three points adrift of the leading pair. Something must give.

With 90 years of circuit history to celebrate, a century of the Norwich Viking Club, and championship battles that are razor-tight across every class — there will be fireworks at Lyng long before the chequered flag waves.
